She is developing a number of workshop tools and open source skill sharing frameworks on the theme of Shapeshifting for Earthly Survival. In 2019 she relocated to Margate to be an associate artist at Open School East. In 1984, Hunter featured in the romantic-drama ‘Swing Shift’ and a voice-role in ‘Blood Simple.’ After more TV-films like ‘With Intent to Kill’ (1984), she. journal and facilitates regular meetings. Holly Patricia Hunter’s first screen-appearance was in the slasher-film ‘The Burning’ (1981), followed by TV-movies ‘Svengali and ‘An Uncommon Love’ (both 1983). She is a founding member of a squat collective called Clear Spirit that was active in London between Summer 2017 - Winter 2018, during which she founded the Multi Species Research Group, for which she now produces and edits the M.S.R.G. In 2016 after graduating from Goldsmiths she was awarded the Art School Alliance residency at HFBK university in Hamburg where she spent a year. She is committed to collaborative practices, non-hierarchal learning space and the importance of supportive community as a means of radical growth and resistance. Her interests include ecology, queer embodiment, science fiction, murky waters and sneaky creatures. Her work involves film, writing, sound, performance and workshops. Holly Hunter is a multidisciplinary artist and facilitator based in Margate, Kent.
